FidoInteresting interview with Bronco on the tough schedules. Early in independence they were finding that the schedules coming their way were pretty weak. So they made the conscious decision to go work it hard to get a strong schedule. The players and the team love the tough schedules. They have been in situations where they play a fairly weak schedule and are positioned for a bowl game with lots of wins--but they don't want to go back to that. Bronco said he doesn't want to "go back" or "look back". They are moving forward
The other thing that got me excited is the mindframe they have for the tough road schedules over the next few years. "Hunting" is the word Bronco used. It is taking a while to get the big time teams in Provo so in the meantime they are hunting teams down to see if they can pick them off. And the hope is that it puts BYU in the mode of conference wanting to get them because of what they bring. His 3 year timeframe was just because he anticipated more changes coming around there but doesn't feel like there is a timeframe in which they turn back into a pumpkin and go back to being something else. :D
