In an interview with Dr. Phil, Ronaiah Tuiasasopo admitted he "fell deeply, romantically in love" with Manti Teo. :bug:



Ronaiah then admits he's gay: "I asked him, straight up, was this a romantic relationship with you?" McGraw told NBC's Matt Taibbi during a segment on NBC's Today. "And he says, 'yes.' I then said, are you then, therefore, gay? He says, 'Well, when you put it that way, yes.' And then, he caught himself and said, 'I am confused.'"

Just when you think this story can't get any stranger/more embarrassing, it does....again, and again, and again

This is crazy! I expected this hoaxter to admit it, but not the way he did.



Makes me wonder now, does Manti still "give or church a bad name"?



I'm sure some will still say yes. Because he lied by trying to safe face, and said he did met his "girlfriend".

So it was actually true that Manti met him/her face to face. Perhaps he just didn't recognize that she was actually a bass.

Brilliant move by the hoaxter. The media will never go after a gay person, especially one just now "coming out". Read the news, "coming out' is to be celebrated in the media. Yep, great way to spin it: "I wasn't being an awful human being and needlessly cruel to someone, I was in love."

The next breaking news of this story will be that someone comes forward with phone recordings that indicate that Ronaiah Tuiasasopo wasn't disguising his voice and Manti knew it was a man all along...

I wont be surprised by anything in this unfolding story. I'm just waiting for the evil twin to reveal himself.

Lies, lies and more lies and cover ups. Kid probably got threatened by a bunch of Manti's cousins to tell another story or else get the crap beat out of him.

Actually, I think we may finally be getting to the truth. There was no catfishing going on. There was no attempt at extortion or money from a future NFL first round pick going on. The end game was a loving relationship with Manti.



The only question now is, is Manti gay? It would make sense since this relationship went on for years on the telephone, Interent and possibly meetings on the Islands. I can't see a guy being able to stay in character as a girl's voice for that long.

Why does him or the hoaxster being gay matter to anyone anyway. And if you heard any of his interview you know he isn't a bass. A tenor for sure. lol

I don't hate Manti, but I hate the fact that he played up his faith to the media and then lied to the media when he found out the truth, which conveniently helped his PR. Manti, of all people, should have realized that it's important to be the person that one professes to be.



I wish Manti big success in the NFL and don't envy what he'll endure from teammates during training camp.
