[GAME RECAP] FINAL: BYU 94, Ohio State 83

BYU defeated Ohio State 94 to 83 on Tuesday, Nov 3, 2026, at the Delta Center in Salt Lake City as part of the Bad Boy Mowers Series. The Cougars overcame a three-point halftime deficit by exploding for 60 points in the second half to secure the double-digit victory.

Robert Wright III led all scorers with 33 points while also dishing out 5 assists to pace the offense. Tyler Betsey grabbed a team-high 7 rebounds. Kevin Young's squad shot 54 percent from the field and connected on 46 percent of their three-point attempts, while committing only 8 turnovers. Ohio State shot 49 percent overall and was led by Amare Bynum with 20 points, but the Buckeyes could not keep up with BYU's second-half pace.

The non-conference win moves BYU to 1-0 on the young season and builds early momentum for the program. The Cougars return to the hardwood next week to continue their early-season schedule.

Sixty points in the second half against a Big Ten team is just unreal. Wright completely took over the game after the break, and it felt like nobody on Ohio State could stay in front of him. KY has this squad playing with so much confidence right now. Anyone catch how our perimeter defense looked during that second half run?

That second-half pace was something else entirely. Wright just kept putting them in drop coverage and attacking the paint, and once those kickout corner threes started falling, Ohio State had zero answers. KY running that five-out spacing gives our guards so much room to operate. Unreal shooting splits after the break.
