The game was played at the Delta Center in SLC. It may have looked like the Marriott Center because the crowd was largely BYU.

Man, seeing KY run this group is night and day compared to what we've suffered through offensively in past seasons. That ball movement looks like an NBA scout's dream. The Marriott Center is gonna be shaking all winter if they keep playing with this kind of pace. Can't wait for opening night.

BYU opened last night against Ohio State and won.

8 points off the bench last night against Ohio State. Starters played great, but we could use a little more from the bench.

Love seeing that crisp movement. Richie is gonna have a massive year in this system. Reminds me a bit of how fluid our offenses were back in the day when we just trusted the pass and cut hard. KY is bringing the absolute best out of these boys and I cannot wait for opening night at the MC. Go Cougs!

I think you're forgetting that Richie graduated and is now an NBA player. Actually, did he ever sign with the Grizzlies?

I always knew he wasn't long for the football commissioner world, but Brett Yormark has announced that he will be stepping down as the Big 12 Commissioner.

In his time he has navigated a world where the Big 10 and SEC have been wrestling more and more power away from the other conferences, lots of realignment, and bigotry cheers at stadiums.

Overall he has had some misses but the majority seem to have been victories and he has clearly established the Big 12 as the 3rd best conference.

What do you think?

I'm not the biggest fan of the early start time. The Vampire Cougars are a thing because of how well the team plays at night. And has struggled in recent years when playing early games. But I do think it's also a disadvantage to the Utes and it helps negate some of the crowd. So I'll take that.

I won't even be around for this game, because I'll be boarding a cruise ship at the exact time the game is happening.

Tackling has been an issue all season, and in fact multiple seasons. I get that it's one of the harder things to practice when trying to balance health and fundamentals, but the team needs to tackle surely and not just hit or push and hope a guy goes down.

Yeah, I don't know about you Grumpy, but I'm a fan of trick plays. Especially great when they work! While I don't think a trick play was needed there to score, it certainly added a little dramatics to the game and really made it seem like BYU could do whatever they wanted against the vaunted Notre Dame defense.

The one I didn't like though was the fake punt. That was a disaster. And it cost us 3 more points.

Anyone know what happened to Prassas?

BYU has shown that they can get diamonds out of small class sizes.
