Our depth on Defense

Anyone notice how Sampson, Wagner, Frazier and Muehlmann all had significant impacts in the game as reserve players? Do you see any of them stepping into starter positions or more playing time. I know that Bronco seems to be content to let Hadley and Sampson share time, but I feel putting the best players on the field merits some consideration. Wonder if Sampson could be considered for Uale's spot and left Hadley at corner with Eason?

I was thinking Sampson or Hadley should take over Eason's spot. Uale is a whole other problem!

They probably don't know the D well enough yet to play safety.

Eason is basically just playing the wrong side of the field. Last year when he played it was as the boundary corner. Less responsibility in coverage and less ground to cover. Having said that, the two long passes that were completed by UCF were not on Eason. Sorensen was supposed to go over top in both coverages. He let down Eason on one of those and Uale on the other one.



Uale is terrible though. For all of the big hits he's made he's had 2 or 3 mistakes. He constantly is standing flat footed on coverage. The 2 major 3rd down conversion passes against Texas were his coverage. On one of them, he never even got there even after the completion. Against Utah he saved one TD with a hit but he kept at least one other drive alive with a terrible PI and missed tackles all day. The missed tackles became contagious.
