BYU PER on 3rd Down: 35.38 (74.12 on the year). That's three straight games BYU has thrown an INT on 3rd down. PER this year is 2-2 (mainly because UT's starter was so awful before being benched by more efficient throwers).



BYU has yet to be above 120 in PER this year. They've been below 100 twice. You can't win consistently with numbers like that.



BYU had 1 play of more than 2 yards. On the year they only have 10.



BYU is converting 38.3% on 3rd down. Their worst number since 2004.



BYU's 27:57 time of possession was the lowest in a victory since Utah 2009.

Funny how in some ways this game was a lot like the SDSU game last year and other ways it is completely different.



The SDSU game we won by dominating time of possession and having a few nice calls in our favor. This game we won by getting turnovers and capitalizing on short fields.



We smashed the ball all day long in both games. In both games we had just come off a humiliating defeat. Am I missing anything else? I just thought it was interesting how our team has gone through a similar cycle this year as they did last year.

Against SDSU last year, BYU's PER was a full 41 points better than it was yesterday.
