Where the hell did our running backs go?



Seriously, it is getting ridiculous. There were some holes 6 feet wide on Saturday that Kariya was having a tough time finding. Q is NON EXISTENT. Diluigi is serviceable but not someone capable of really doing a lot of damage.



It is incredible how bad our running backs have been. Dupaix and co need to get it together.



I put most of the blame on these guys for our offensive problems. the lack of running game would help explain why we move the ball well until we get into the red zone where we consistently stall.



everybody blaming heaps and thinking taking him out is the answer are just stupid, yes, stupid. Heaps has made mistakes, but hell, what do you expect when we average under two yards per carry? Teams don't even have to stack the box to stop our run game. it is horrendous. When teams know we can run, they stick their guys all over our recievers. this puts incredible pressure on the quarterback. Why do you think we are dink and dunkers this year. It is because we have no runnign game and our receivers are all covered. doman tried to gameplan around that saturday with some success, but as usual, the running backs were nowhere to be seen.



heaps is part of the problem, but anybody who thinks he is the main problem is delusional. what the crap is wrong with our running game. The answer is easy, we don't have a harvey unga or reliable back to go to. our run game is horrible and teams do not need to have any respect for it. I was expecting Q to be the answer. He has been a disaster instead.



I saw a lot of huge holes saturday night that were created by the offensive line. While they have not performed that great, the runningbacks have been the biggest disappointment so far.

I was just thinking of how DuPaix has strangely escaped criticism, for the most part. We have a lot of new coaches, and many in a role for the first time, such as Doman as OC, and Cahoun in coaching at all.



But our RB coach, DuPaix is not new to coaching nor to RB coaching, and he came from Navy where they have a strong running game. So what happened to our running game?

I hope we can reload and recruit a JC kid who can pound it. Sadly, i have little hope for our run game vs any reasonably tough team (UCF, USU, TCU, OSU, UH).

PEOPLE, BYU IS 118th OUT OF 120 in rushing!!!! IS that Heaps fault also??????????

Dont omit Webber. I have loved and supported that guy, but what gives? Did you see the look on TBrown's face on TV after the bad snap?? Oh my heavens. Poor guy look like he was going to soil himself. And maybe he should have felt that way. BUt even the announcers were commenting on how shaken he was? I would be mad and pacing. But scared and pooping? that was very concerning!

Yes, put Nelson in. That will help.

I think the blame can be put back on Doman for not allowing the BYU offense to run the ball more. I don't think "Q" has been horrendous but I think his lack of use is though. Juice is our best RB and just needs to see time/repetitions on the field. It's hard to get in a grove when you only carry the ball 2 to 3 times an ENTIRE game. It's still hard to understand why Juice isn't being used more unless some sort of injury is hampering him??
