Did Pendelton get hurt on Saturday? I don't remember seeing him in much in the second half. Ziggy was in on the Eason botched pick that went for a touchdown. There was no pressure on that play and Ziggy pretty much got eaten up by the left tackle on that play.

He hurt his ankle vs. Texas, so was limited, and played sparingly and when Bronco saw he could not cover, he sat. Because Bronco played cover all game and did not pressure at all, so Pendleton became a laibility with his ankle injury issues.

He is very injury prone. Very good when healthy. Just never healthy.

He's the Staley of the defense. An amazing player, when he can stay on the field.

Staley stayed more healthy than this guy.

Its so frickin' frustrating too! Its a good thing we have Van Noy cause he's doing everything Pendelton should be doing. Making the big plays.

Unfortunate for Pendelton (and the BYU defense). That's for sure.

Rumor is that he is out for the season but he was game time decision. Anyone know what the injury is?

Papercut?

Just kidding, the kid is tough but sometimes the mind is willing but the body can't take it (over and over and over). Maybe a few more subs with Ansah will make him more durable. Imagine if he is done for the year and gets a mediacl redshirt. Hmmm. Ansah getting a lot more gametime reps and Pendelton back next year. What a team they could be next year.

It doesn't matter how many reps Pendleton has. He'll still get hurt. We could limit him to five reps a game and he'd still find a way to miss the next game due to a knock/injury.

I know he didn't get tons of pressure, but alani fua is an athletic kid. When he subbed for Pendelton, he looked good coming off the edge.

Pendelton is a sad case of injuritis. Hope he gets healed up sooner rather than later. BUT BYU did have an awesome defense last year without him and more pieces to work with on defense this year. I think we'll be fine without him if he doesn't make it back.

History seems to indicate that Pendleton will get healed up later and then get re-injured relatively soon there after.

Which is sad, but there is nothing you or I or Pendelton can do about it. I don't like the thought that Pendelton is a loser because he can't stay healthy and it seems there are fans that are willing to hold that against the guy. He's a stud when healthy and plays as hard or harder than anyone. Enjoy it when he's on the field and move on when he's on the bench.

Who's saying he's a loser. He's simply one of those guys who doesn't have the body for football. He's got the mind, talent and skill to be a sensational player. We know this because when he's out there he is quite dominant and allows BYU do things on defense they normally can't. But his body simply does not allow him to be on the field any extended amount of time. It's sad.

Homeboy is on roids, that's the only explanation for the reason he can't stay healthy.

Yeah, that's the only reason anyone gets hurt repeatedly in SMASHMOUTH FOOTBALL. It couldn't possibly be that he goes hard on every down and hits like a hammer with no regard for his own safety.

Do you have 1st hand knowledge of this? If not, shut the hell up about a kid who has worked his butt off to play ball and who plays his butt off. This is the kind of ignorance Bronco calls out.
