How do you respond?

For those of you in Utah, when you go to work tomorrow, how you will respond to the Utah fans who you know can hardly wait for you to get in? They're going to be so excited, they may just get there early to see you first.

Ha, I voted before I saw that I'm supposed to be working in Utah. I'm not working or living in Utah. I'd congratulate them. What ammo do they have after that. It was Utah, not them doing the work. And they won't really pay attention to another game the rest of the year.

Not in Utah but managed to watch the game with a Ute fan. I couldn't get mad at last night's game. At the beginning of the 3rd quarter (and after the muffed KO) I just laughed. You can't get mad at your 1 yr old when they do something stupid, they just don't know any better. I was furious last week, but the Utah game proved we are just not any good at most things pertaining to football. It's hard to get mad with that being the case. I cheerfully chatted away with the Ute during the 2nd half and assured him they'd be playing in the pac 12 championship game this season.

I told my Utard coworkers already that I wasn't feeling very confident going into this game. I'll just repeat that.

you must be my twin in MO. I was also watching the game with a ute buddy (every ute I've met here on the east coast has been a stand up guy by the way, maybe because they are getting higher education? ;) ) And we had no problem laughing at BYU and utah together. I was also in a much worse mood after texas. It's time to just enjoy the ride for the rest of the season.

Game like this you just need to take your licks from the other fans. Nothing you can say, but agree that your rival took full advantage of your train wreck of a team

then it is over, if you attack them it prolongs it, after a while of you saying we suck, you are better, they will leave you alone.

Same. The Utes we watched it with were quite gracious. They even said mid way through the 3rd quarter that they wished it was a closer game because it was just no fun watching a team get blown out.



In the 4th they actually became pitty fans and tried to convince me there was still a chance. When White broke free for his first rushing touchdown in the 4th, they turned to me and said, "Wow. I'm sorry. That sucks." They then cheered for BYU in the next possession hoping we'd at least show some life. We turned it over and they had no objection to playing the Wii the rest of the night instead of watching the end of the game.

I don't know any Ute fans at work - no wonder Hawaii is called Paradise. Actually, I got my MBA at Utah, so I approach every game with humility and am gracious when we win. My problem here would be UH fans, but BSU has replaced BYU as their hated rival and that will re-ignite when UH joins MWC. Plus UH sucked Saturday, so they have their own melt-down vs UNLV - a 20 point under-dog- to digest.



But our rival won big - over us. I sympathize with those living in Utah.

Actually, what I said this morning when I came into work was this:



It's like when you're driving through construction on the freeway and bump, you feel you get a flat tire. Well, you have to drive a bit to get to a pull out zone, but you do so and pull out. Traffic is wizzing by you, but you get out and dangit but you have not one flat tire, but 2!

So you start jacking up the car, you're pissed, but what can you do right?

You get the car all jacked up and bam! the jack slips the car falls on you and crushes you to death.



Thats how I felt during the game.

The difference is that you guys were probably watching the game with active LDS Ute fans.. they're usually the nicer variety of Ute fan. The anti-mormon vitriol is what takes it to another level. Thankfully out of state I don't know any of those. Here the Ute fans on Sunday were toned down and didn't relish the game given BYU's self destruction.

The Ute fans near me (Oregon) are older (grandkids go to BYU), so they aren't too bad. No anti-mormon vitriol. I'd hate to be in Utah right now.



I got a text from my son who lives in Provo. One of the speakers in sacrament meeting was rubbing it in ( :utard: victory) during his talk. My son said that many of the people just walked out of sacrament meeting.

They went with the corner blitz instead of the onside kick. Same idea, different method of execution. I wish Bronco would have flipped kwhit the bird.

Honestly right now we do suck, I hope BYU turns it around next game, but idk.

It wasn't too bad. I think its not as fun to rub it in for u fans when their team was handed the game. I got a couple of emails about turnovers.
