wrongcoachAnother less noticed--yet vitally important--nuance that is a huge part of our offensive inefficiency is Coach Dupaix. Vai Sikahema advocated to hire Mark Atuaia over Dupaix in the February with a blog in the DesNews and everyone blasted about race-baiting and other outlandish accusations. Now, I think we've all seen after 3 games that he was right about his assessment--not because of race, but because of competence.
Listen, Dupaix's experience is in the triple option and his skill-set is now showing that he can't adapt to BYU's type of play. His rotation, his choice of player-to-play efficiency, and his overall production is just sorry--absolutely sorry.
In the last years, with Lance Reynolds (whose tight-ends are the only bright spot on offense) and his right-hand man Mark Atuaia coaching the backs, we had 2 all-time career rushing leaders and an effectiveness from that group that was unmatched--or at least rivaled the past RB groups.
People on this board called Vai a racist when he advocated earlier for Coach Atuaia--maybe he knew knows A LOT more about football and had a valid point for his conclusions.
