What happened to BYU?

I am shell shocked:



1. 6 fumbles - all lost: 2 interceptions

2. 11 yards rushing

3. Blown out by 44 points

4. We score 10 points

5. Our offense has scored 3 TDs in 12 quarters through 3 games (13.3 points/game)

6 . Bronco said it best, "outcoached, outplayed, outexecuted the entire game".



Time to regroup and get answers on both sides of the ball.

Bronco already fired his entire Coaching staff last year. Perhaps it's time to stop with the "touchy feely" slogans & get down to smash mouth football. Basics. Fundamentals. We have talented athletes - something is missing.



Now - how do we think we will do recruiting inside Utah against the Yewts. We just lost a big edge in the recruiting battle tonight. BYU must win.

Several things stand out. We seem to reasonably play well for 2 quarters but don't adjust to the other teams adjustments after halftime. We don't seem to know what to do when the other team starts to change the D and installing different stunts and last second changes before the snap. Our RBs are too slow when hitting the middle or the edge, and we have become one dimensional. White was just exploding through openings and was in our backfield before the DBs could come up and plug the hole.

Really... It was time to regroup and get answers after the 1st game.

The bad snaps should be a thing of the past right now, 1st drive of the game = 7 points gift wrapped to our rivals.

After the 2nd half of the Texas game, there were several things blaring that needed work and absolutely NOTHING improved from week 2 to week 3.

BYU is horrible @ making adjustments, especially during a game, but even throughout a season.

It shouldn't take a catastrophe like the 1st part of last season or like last night to warrant changes.

If I see the same team and play next week I have to change the way I watch the games. I don't know how I will do it but, it's not worth scarring my little girls 100 times a game when something causes me to yell @ the TV

Wholesale changes are necessary as UCF, TCU and USU now look to be very formidable games as they all have balanced running and passing attacks. My first impression is that we need to divvy up the QB and OC coaching positions and move Doman up to the booth where the entire field can be viewed and adjustments made accordingly.
