11 total rushing yards!

We gained a whole 11 yards total rushing for the night. 0.5 yards a carry. Riley Nelson was our leading rusher. Our running game is the root of our offensive problems!

OUr stable of RBs are not good enough. ENd of story. None of them have ability to make a big run. And add to it that our Oline can not run block, and that tells the story. We have issues. We need better RBs.

Yep. Oline can't make a hole, and we don't have a back besides Kariya to get through it anyways...

The root of the problem is that the offense sucks, plain and simple. They are all playing like a bunch of pansies, and coaching isn't helping one bit.

Not take take aim at any player on the Oline in particular, but our biggest weak spot is left guard. Houston Reynolds gets blown up, and when Thorson comes in, he does too. Which means we can not run behind Matt Reynolds--our best lineman. It is a huge problem.

11 rush yards. That sucks

I have not seen individual stats, but they would be interesting including plusses and minuses. Then throw in fumbles, etc., because Heaps and Nelson both avoided some lost yardage by fumbling rather than taking an unavoidable sack.

I am shocked that the coaches didn't focus on ball control given Utes having had such a large turnover margin coming in.

I'm 99.9% sure that everyone on this forum is wondering why Kariya has gotten a grand total of 1 carry over the last 2 games and wishes he would get more.

This is what I would do against UCF. 10 carries to JJ DiLuigi in the first half and 5 to Kariya. Then depending upon how the defense is responding split up the 15 carries between the two backs in the 2nd half.

Have we figured out what is going on with Juice? After his impressive freshman year, I was expecting him to emerge as the feature back this year. Instead, we are stuck with a healthy dose of DiLuigi - who is NOT a D-1 caliber starting HB.

It's the same thing that happened with heaps. Put them up against a decent team and suddenly they aren't the same player. Same with our O-line, WRs, etc etc etc.

Josh Quezada was decent last year, I'll give you that. But if we give him a 'decent' we have to give JJ who was a better back the label 'good.'

This year however Quezada hasn't even smelled decent.

True, but I thought JJ was pretty darn good last year.

This year all the RBs have stunk. But I think that has more to do with the line that can't seem to open anything up for them. I miss travis Bright.
