Texas up early on UCLA

Texas got a pick and then a really nice touchdown pass to lead UCLA 7-0 early.

So many turnovers in this game already. Jaxon Shipley fumbles catching a punt return and then UCLA's QB throws an interception to give Texas back the ball. UCLA's line can't give any time at all, I wouldn't want to be that quarterback.

UCLA doesn't look like they have a chance in this game.

and Texas gets another TD, this time on around a 13 yard run by Malcolm Brown, 21-0.

UCLA puts in a new QB and they finally get a score, not really any thanks to their passing game though, Texas has pretty much shut that down and gets pressure every time they attempt to pass it. The biggest change was UCLA finally started to run the ball well. I don't know that UCLA can stop Texas's offense though, granted they've been given good field position by turnovers.

Texas converts a huge 3rd and 18, and gets a TD on the next play to go up 28-7.

wow, UCLA is making UT look like world beaters. 28-7 after a freak flutie play on 3 and 18 by McCoy. Hookem horns!!

We sure helped Texas find their quarterback... McCoy just avoided 3 or 4 sacks in the same play and connected on a 3rd and 18 to set them up for a first and goal and then throws a touchdown pass the next play. UCLA gets a field goal before the half ends to make it 28-10.

Congrats Hookem on a great first half.

UCLA's punter knocks down a 51 yard field goal as time expires to make it 28-10 at halftime.

Wait a minute! I thought that Texas' pass defense sucks and that we had people open all game, and just had a qb that also "sucks." :skeptic:

Yep - looks like Texas has found it's future in McCoy! Wow! That kid is magic when he's got the ball in his hands.
