BYU & Utah, 1st team to 17 points wins

Anyone who predicts BYU to win this game in a blow out with either team scoring more than 17 points needs to check themselves into a insane asylum! Utahs defense is better than the 2 teams BYU has played. But BYU's defense is just as good. Both teams have alot to be desired on offense. Utahs QB is horrible, BYU's offense doesnt seem to know who they are. Utah has an OC (Norm Chow) who looks as if his days in the sun have past. BYU has an OC (Brandon Doman) whos in his first year as an OC and at times seems lost and confused. And once he does gets the lead he calls plays just to run out the clock even if it only mid way thru the 3rd quarter. All these things together add up to the 1st team to 17 will win.

Not sure either team COULD get to 17.

I HATE to say this, but I don't have much confidence going into the utah game. Utah's defense looked pretty darn good tonight, and BYU's offense has looked STALE to me. I have a ton of confidence with Bronco's Defense, but a defense can only stay on the field and fight short fields for so long before something breaks.

Sorry but at this point Wynn > Heaps. Utah always has some very effective wrinkles in its offense and we will keep running out of Anae's playbook. I had hoped that we could destroy Utah out of revenge but there is no way this team has the firepower to get more than 2 TD's per game. Overrated and over-cocky WR's, TE's, and RB's fill the lineup.

Heaps is good for 1 TD and Sorenson is good for two field goals. If the offense gets two TDs I'll be shocked.

So true. Team full of divas. Heaps will turn out to be the Trent Plaisted of BYU football.

If stuff like this is all I can expect to read every week, then I'm going to stop reading this board for a while. Geez people, GET A GRIP... Yes we lost a game we should've won, but to pile on our players (especially Heaps) and assume they're all prima donnas, and that they're never going to get better is asinine. I'm not hailing Heaps as the best QB ever, but I still believe he can and will improve. I think he will start to get his head in the game more, and we'll see on the field results (IE: more points). The two most culpable problems are Heaps and Doman right now. Doman needs to start being agressive on playcalling, and using the weapons he has. Jake needs to have confidence in throwing the ball down field. He needs to stop being Captain Checkdown. He needs to not be afraid of taking a hit. If he thinks he's good enough to be an NFL QB, then he better get practice now as far as physicality. At some point, every NFL QB gets rocked. The best quarterbacks aren't afraid of that.



I just can't believe that already here we are almost writing the season off, and throwing in the towel. Are we that spoiled that we can't take a few licks ourselves? No more of this "Heaps sucks!" "Doman sucks!" "Send in Lark!" "Bring back Anae!" It makes us all look stupid.

I predicted BYU would beat Texas 28 to 17. I got the 17 right for Texas, and if our 4 scores woukld have been touchdowns instead of field goals, I would have had the BYU score right also. We couldn't finish those drives.



I think things will come together for the Offense this week. I predict an 11 point cougar victory.

I still think we're going to win a NC with this team...lol
