Congrats to TX

We got on top early, got them out of sync offensively and they fought back and took that game from us. We did plenty on offense to squander the game, but TX was great defensively the second half and we couldn't respond. Congratulations to TX, they deserved to win this one.



Hopefully our guys realize it is just one game and come back with a vengeance next week.

Thanks for the thread hijack cougarbib. I thought TX played better than we did and deserved the congratulations. They have been classy in the ramp up to this game and have hopefully started putting the pieces together for a great season. Unfortunately for us they started figuring things out a half too early. Losses happen. what we do from here on out will define our season, not this one loss. No reason we can't be gracious in losing, it doesn't change the outcome any to not be gracious.

I have to say congrats to Texas too. They played a great, physical game in the 2nd half and BYU had no answer.

Offense B+. Got it done when it counted.

Defense B+. Got it done when it counted and held BYU to FGs for the most part.

Coaching- A+. That's how you manage multiple QBs. The Texas coaches had tons of energy and demanded that their team pick up the intensity. The players responded in that second half and BYU looked lost.



BYU grade- C. Had some nice flashes, and failed at other times.
