The Bowls would be in a log jam until Big 12 Contracts expire and it would actually increase non-BCS access. It would actually be an advantage to be non AQ and since BCS can only take 2 teams from one conference - being independent may be advantageous. Just sayin. Maybe after laughing about the prospects of the Bowls and all of their stupid tie-ins all being mesed up for a while - I just might change my vote on whether BYU should save the Big 12 from itself. ;)

Who knows. It's all driven by extreme greed. These teams are doing Ok. But, it's never enough. All this Conference jumping & Super 16 Conferences is a big distraction during football season. In my mind, the "jury is out" whether the Y should joint a conference or not. BYU seems to be doing fine as it is. Prudence & wisdom is in order here. No one knows how this will shake out.
