Of course. He's BYU alumni. Why is there a need to see someone fail?

I chose "don't care," but I do care a little.



I think Anae was good for BYU when he first came here and for all his faults, I'm still grateful to his contributions to some pretty great seasons. So I want him to do well.



On the other hand, we've already seen some "BYU offense vs. Arizona offense" comparisons, which really don't make any sense as Anae's really only half-responsible for their successes and failures, has an upperclassman QB, etc. Meanwhile, Doman's got to learn how to call the plays, develop a QB with a lot of raw talent but still a long ways to go, and play a season where we compete against 5 AQ teams (counting TCU) and another two with comparable talent. I don't envy Doman's position, and I doubt any OC in the last 25 years at BYU has faced the sort of challenge Doman's currently facing. I don't want Anae to do well, just because the last thing Doman needs is fans and boosters chirping away at how hiring him was a mistake.



So, in short: I want Anae to do well, but not too well.

Absolutely. BYU grad, starter on 1984 team. Wish him nothing but the best every game he coaches in, unless his team plays BYU.

No. Nothing against him personally. But I dislike the pathetic conference, and want them to all suffer. I guess he can win his conference games and I'd be fine with that.

Foles attempted 51 passes. Makes me think less of Anae and more of Crowton and Beck vs. UNLV back in 2004.

His OL struggled with runblocking tonight. The playcalling was awful too, but that's on Littrel not Anae.

I do. More RM's and a whole lot less anti's at the actual UofU than in say, Cal or Stanford or Oregon. The local fans may be irritating and irrational (and the non LDS ones anti) but the true vitriol comes from a lot of the PAC universities and they are the ones that drum up the excuse BYU isn't "good enough" for their conference. I hope Utah puts a beatdown on those losers and I for one have to say as much as I hate the SEC for their snobbery I really enjoyed the LSU-Ore game. I just wish Stanford and Cal would play some real teams so they can get crushed too. Awww so sorry UCLA. :lol: :lol:



As for Anae of course. He is BYU through and through and loves the school. He left of his own accord and he gave all he had to win at BYU. No shame if he didn't quite fit or if he just wasn't good enough yet to be a top OC.

If he were a coach anywhere else, I would wish him football success. But he was a BYU guy, he knew what he was doing going to the U and turning down BYU. Just because he once played at BYU doesn't mean jack now.
