Ole Miss 0-1

Texas 1-0

Utah 1-0 vulnerable

UCF 1-0 looked good

Hawaii 1-0 could be 11-0 when we meet

USU 0-1 should have won

So basically it looks like SJSU and USU are essentially the same teams in terms of strength, at least according to Sagrain. Now it makes me wonder why everyone is so optimistic that we'll blow them away, especially since we don't even know for sure yet if it will be Nelson or Heaps that starts.

Exactly! Blue is Blue said match ups would take care of it and any of our four QBs could easily win it because of match ups. You could probably tell that I did not agree with that assessment. Nelson gives us our best shot. Unless SJSU is totally incapable of creating a pass rush vs our "horrible OL" which apparently is not the matchup Blue has in mind, Jake Heaps would lead the team to a loss. IDK how much pass rush SJSU can muster, but I feel Nelson gives us our best chance in case they do have one. He knows how to buy time and make something out of nothing on broken plays. Oh - and he is a leader.

What is our Saggy? The Texas loss will be exonerated over the remainder of the season - but we should have won. Luckily for them, they switched from Potential to Playmaking decisively on national tv when it was clear that their starter was not mentally ready to play football. The window was open - we missed it. It will be exonerated.

The Utah loss will not be. It will remain as a How in the H. E. Double C. K. Did that happen events in history. The answer is that we had a QB that was not mentally ready to play football or mature enough to lead a team who had lost the heart and soul of the team and the coaches were slow to figure that out and deal with it - because of his POTENTIAL.

Utah, depending how long their playmaking QB is out, due to not having a backup QB, is poised to lose a lot of games with their schedule no matter that they have a good running game.

This is pushing things a bit... the whole team sucked against Utah - Riley as well. Be realistic - Jake was not great. The team was horrible. Jake doesn't deserve all the credit for that one...

The order is off. Washington State is rumored game 1. Weber State is game 2, and Utah is game 3. GT was set for game one, but sounds as if it is getting moved. I think BSU and ND are both October games. If we can get GT to November, better balance in 2012 scheduling.
