Analyzing and nit-picking ESPN.

Love that we got rid of the Cougar on top of BYU logo for ESPN, now it's the much better and simpler oval Y. The old logo was ok but for some reason reminds me of the crowton years, and I don't even know if it's associated with the crowton years.



Now, my nit-picking rant. Why is the LHN preview of BYU the first thing that comes up when you go to BYU's football page??? I want to see KVN knocking Stoudt over and scoring the game winning TD. Where are the highlights? If I wanted to hear what Texas thought about us, I'd go find it somewhere. Then later on down the playlist is a discussion on whether or not Texas and OU are really going to pac. Lame ESPN, give me BYU.

Meh. That video window is automated. I'm a little sad that BYU-Ol' Miss didn't get a video recap on ESPN.com, but even if it did, I'd bet that LHN probably would have post-dated it and been the starting video anyway.



Could be wrong, but I think sometimes ESPN.com doesn't do video recaps of games available on ESPN3 because they also have an "auto-highlight feature" that shows up on the game recap page, but not the team page.



I agree though, the oval screams "we have tradition" and the cougar-on-top screams "perennial C-USA bottom-dwellers."

As for that, I dont think Olemiss v BYU game much if any highlights at all! Kind of ticked about that. I know they cant cover every team.

At least it was covered in Gameday saturday morning. The only one that didnt pick BYU was Herbstreet--surprise, surprise. Even Mavs owner and guest game-picker, Mark Cuban picked BYU over OM

Did anyone else notice the graphic today on ESPN (I don't remember which show it was) that said, "Texas all time record against BYU: 2 - 0". So when do we start getting that "Independent" status respect?

I'll bet they get it right at "0 - 3" after next Saturday.
