Is it too much to ask?

I'd like to see Heaps get royally T.O.ed after throwing a pick. Not standing around hoping he doesn't get flattened.

I hope the next time Heaps throws a pick, he goes in with reckless abandon and gets blocked from the side and is knocked out of the game. I hope he then misses the next few games as well from that hit. That'll teach all those naysayers!



Oh wait, then they'll get after him for not putting his head on a swivel.



I've seen Peyton Manning and Tom Brady do the same thing.

Ok, so it was late when I posted that, I've thought about it and have a different question. (and I was half joking about this thread, don't really want Heaps to try what Vick did.)



Is it too much to ask for Heaps to simply get in the way of a guy running a TD back? Even punters slow guys up or make a little contact so that someone else can do the job.

If the QB engages, he will get leveled. If he's standing innocent and lazy, he stands to survive better.

I don't know that I want him anywhere near the returner, because that's where the blockers tend to be as well.



What I would like to see is him looking angry and fired up instead of sullen and depressed. As a coach, you can turn anger to your advantage, depression and the blues? Not so much.

I know that for me personally, if I had just thrown a pick, I would be livid. I'd be the first guy putting in all on the line because I would want to make that up and I certainly wouldn't want it to turn into points. And even if I had been told to not go for the tackle, I'd probably go for it anyway. So either Jake listens very well to instructions, or he doesn't have my same attitude, nothing wrong with that, just less aggressive I guess.

P.S. I don't get all the paranoia about QB's getting hurt trying to tackle after an INT. I can't think of more than 1 I've ever seen or heard about...
