Hawaii

Currently putting the hurt on Colorado and looking pretty good doing it. Granted, it is Colorado.



I looked at their schedule...Washington, UNLV and someone else easy. I don't know who is supposed to be up/down in the WAC, but these guys could be undefeated when we play them, and I would bet good money they'll be ranked.

The speed of their QB worries me.

Brunetti's speed did nothing for him. Out D is improved.

This plus threw for over 300 yards a game last season. He was off to a slow start passing 1-7 or something like that - so he ran for 3 TDs including a long one.

Maybe we should have a running thread scouting each future opponent for those of us who are in a position to provide insight to keep everyone posted. In addition to whT I said earlier, note that 2 or 3 UH players were arrested for (you guessed it right - got drunk and a bar fight ensued) and were suspended for the Colorado game at minim while an investigation is done. It may explain why Colorado was favored by more than a TD.



Not sure if they will suit up for UW game in Seattle Saturday where UW is favored by about 1 point.

Be prepared to spend a litle more than BYU charges for tickets. That seems to be true everywhere but Provo. Maybe that is part of why some teams do not want to come to Provo.



I paid $50.00 plus fees and got Level 1 Section F. But that is only about the 5 or 10 yard line - but near field level. There were 50 yard line tickets up in Level 5 Section L for $45.00. End Zone might have been $30 or $35.



Locals advised me to go for the tickets with single letters like L and F - not LL or FF - avoids having the sun shining right in your eyes.



Anyway - I have committed to make the trip. Hawaii may be undefeated - or UH may kill them tomorrow. But, how many of you are willing to commit to making the trip. Commit now. Get your tickets today. OK - I realize I only have to drive about 20 miles.

ironically, I remember being at a service project for the homeless with my ward in Hawaii a few years ago and when I arrived UW was up on UH by 21. People kept sneaking outside where some security officers had the game on a TV on the tailgate of an SUV and reported back the score. UH won. They probably won't wake up until half time. Traveling to the mainland puts them at an even worse disadvantage than when we travel there. From mmy experience it is much more draining to travel east. Hopefully Cort Dennison has a big game.

UW called a couple of tmieouts to get the ball back with a minute and a half left in the 1st half and UW moved down the field and scored a td. Price is a better passer than Locker was. UH seemingly cannot stop UW.

Crazy chain of events:



1. Leading 38-26, UW can't convert on third down to ice it.

2. UW punt goes negative-4 yards.

3. Hawai'i scores quick TD to cut it to 38-32.

4. UW blocks PAT (2nd of game) and returns it for two points, up 40-32.



Awaiting onside kick...

Onside kick stops literally about 2 inches short of 10 yards. UW wins 40-32.
