Football only or Independence?

I was reading an article and it suggested that BYU go to Big12 as football only member. Tell me what you think they should do if they had to choose between independence or being a football only member of the B12

BYU would have to join for basketball as well. Anything else is a slap in the face for a team that is much improved over the past decade.

It's going to be all or nothing. Either the big 12 is stable enough for all sports or not.

Because of the commitment to the WCC, it may be an alternative to go Football only for 3 years, then move to all sports.
