They just claimed it is. Which means that B12 is in town talking. Which means things are really serious.

Didn't we hear reports like this last year? Pac-10 jets in Provo! Big XII spokesman says "not aware" of a Big XII jet in Provo, according to Jay Drew.

they are just referring to the sl tribune article. they have no inside sources. those guys are idiots. byu answer to the question was no comment. we all know that the big12 and byu are currently in talks.



i think byu leaked this in order to gain some leverage in the negotiations. it honestly looks like its either byu in the big 12 or texas ou and company in the pac16. there is no way byu rejects this offer. they can't afford to.

Jay Drew just gets slimier and slimier.



First- He rips all his information off of Rumorboard (this flight tracking info was posted on there early yesterday evening) without even throwing a bone of acknowledgement to the guy who did the work. Drew just lets the readers assume Drew did all heavy lifting



Second- He fails to follow up on the second part of the Rumorboard thread--the name and employer of the pilot who flew the plane and some strong evidence that the plane had only been in Addison TX for routine maintenance--a plausible explanation that would have been simple to verify or dispel with an easy phone call.



So not only does he steal other people's work without credit, but he's lazy as well.

laughable. Drew is desperate and despicable if it is true that he got his info off of cougarboard.

This is extra ironic considering that the SL Tribune is going out of its way to find ways to sue their own readers when they post on message boards even when proper credit has been given, but their own journalists are taking information from those some message boards and reposting them without credit.

You guys are a tough crowd. When I don't like something that Jay had done I send him an email. Only in the case of issues where I was probably more reprimanding than actually asking or citing an issue, he hasn't answered me, but everything else he has. My last email to him was answered in 3 minutes from when I sent it. I couldn't ask for a better response than that.



I guess I don't understand why someone thinks he needs to cite where he got the information on the flight from TX to UT. You are all just thinking he needs to do an "at-a-boy" acknowledgement? He's not quoting the individual and I didn't click on the link to where the information came from, but as someone posted it on CB, then I don't understand why he'd need to state anything more than what he did. The aspect of whether or not he followed up more in detail doesn't seem an issue to me. Just my POV, but I think some folks are getting a few ruffled feathers without need. I dont' see Drew as being "lazy" on this issue.

it's not laziness, it's hypocrisy. if not on his part individually, but then on the organizations' part.



We can't post articles without being sued. But he can cite message boards and use them as sources without citation without repercussion.



Unless of course, you view our scorn and this thread as "repercussion".
