If/When BYU goes to the Big XII

Who's the rival. The Pac-12 is trying to make Colorado and Utah the "big rivalry." Who would become BYU's?

KSU. BUt even thats a stretch.

OU and UT would consider themselves above a rivalry with BYU. UNless we kick UT's trash in two weeks. :-)

Do we want to be like Wyoming and San Diego State who act like BYU is their rival but we really don't consider them a rival?



Texas would be make the most sense as a rival, but I don't think they would ever consider us their rival.

Ok, people should explain why they voted the way they did. The way I see, you don't just pick a school and say "you're our new rival". It will take at least 2-3 close games in a row and/or a game(s) decided by a dramatic play or contraversial call or something. Rivalries are developed on the field, not by a vote.

Baylor will be the new holy war.

Well - haven't we wanted to get even with Gov Boggs for 150 years or so. Or did Steve Young even that score when he caught a pass for the winning TD as time was expiring in the 1983 Holiday Bowl. Missouri would be the new Holy War.

Missouri's big game is with Kansas.

We need to beat down Baylor at every opportunity. We need to own them to show that we were and are the better choice. And for revenge. :crazy:

Baptists and Mormons could be brutal.

Utah will be, and the game will take on a new flair. With both schools in the BCS, things get interesting.

I can see things heating up with OU. If BYU sees more games like the '09 one, then I think it's inevitable.



Baylor makes sense too with the whole Baptists vs. Mormons aspect.



As always, the frutes will always be a rivaly game, and if BYU gets the nod into the Big XII there will be heated things for BCS supremacy in Utah I think.
