The official speed limit on Ole Miss’ campus is 18 m.p.h. – after the number Archie Manning wore in the late 1960s and early 1970s – but the Rebels are going to need considerable effort to reach that number in points scored against BYU. They just don’t have the balance on offense that has proven able to exploit BYU defenses in recent years.



When the Cougars have been able to make a team one dimensional, like most teams, they’re very tough to beat. BYU is 11-2 when allowing fewer the 50 yards rushing and 23-8 when allowing fewer than 200 yards passing. If all a team can do is run OR throw on BYU, they’re in for a long day.
