More info to pass on re:BigXII

Latest is that the Big XII offer has been extended. Pres Samuelson requested the right to act on it, but BoT wants to meet first to discuss details. That meeting is tentatively set for Wednesday of this week. We should have resolution on this issue one way or the other by weeks end.

My prediction. BYU gets invite and they accept.

Lawboy you sure have sources! Makes sense for BOT to do some reflecting I think we are headed toward Big 12 my friends TH and Samuelsons would not be supportive of a bid to a dying conference

Still can't help but feel pessimistic about it. Probably just seen byu get the shaft one too many times.

But IF it does happen...picture this. Our bball and fball recruiting has already been very strong last couple of years. What will it be like in the b12!

Sure they will, it just won't be anyone that should be at BYU. There are less and less excuses for kids to choose other schools. And it wasn't a hard choice before. If you don't choose BYU now, it's because you don't want to live the social scene that BYU provides (you get my drift?), or you want superior academics (which is hard to find).

Or more money - Miami, USC, Auburn, OSU - all pay their players better
