Thanks for stopping by Momma Chambers! We've missed you here. Glad to see O'Neill doing well, and supporting (and being supported by) the team. I hope the best for his tryouts on Monday and eventual return to the team. I can't wait to see him on the field again on game day!

Welcome back! I believe I can speak for all of us here when I say that we're proud of and impressed by your son's hard work and willingness to stick with a tough situation instead of taking the easy way out. Best of luck to him and to you! Here's hoping he'll get that kickoff return he promised in 2012!

Linnette, thanks for posting on this fan board. My sons love your son, and I am proud he is a cougar. I look forward to seeing him on the field in the future.

PS Hola reminded me that you once posted that O'Neal had hispanic heritage. I think most BYU fans have assumed he is African American. I live in Hawaii, where everyone seems to be a mixture of one thing or another, but although race and ethnicity are not important factors to me, they are interesting facts when they apply to people you know or are interested in. Recently, I found out that my mother's family who came to Utah from Australia and there from England, were actually French if you go back to when the Normans conquered England and some of them stayed and changed the spelling of their last names - Pedeleur became Pedler. So I spent my whole life thinking I was English and thus not being particularly fond of the French, only to find out I am half French. How bout a little geneology lesson about O'Neal. And, if he is hispanic, and someone quips "no wonder he got caught from behind on that long run", just take it as a humorous indication of how desparate BYU fans have been over the years for athletic, speedy football and basketball players and why many had superhuman expectations for O'Neal.

No BYU Fan hate intended. I am a BYU fan. We have our quirks and sometimes we just need to be willing to laugh at ourselves a little bit.

Linette, if all mothers were like unto you, the very powers of hell would be shaken and this world would be a much better place. You have saved his life and it is inspiring as a parent to watch what you have done (making some educated guesses here, so sorry if our inferences our incorrect) to save ONeal, against practically all odds, to make a most unlikely comeback. I will ALWAYS remember you all!! Things are as they are and we are all trying to adjust. Can't believe that we are in year 4 and hope that all works well and we are listening to Pomp and Circumstance come May, yay!!!! Thankfully football season is here again time to get them TD's and W's. I am also proud and happy how my son is and has been dealing with adversity, in this house we finish what we start and we DON'T do failure! THANKS to all of you that have and still support my son as well as our family it means more than you can ever imagine. BTW it always causes a tear from me when I see that maybe I have done my job since you guys are so kind of sharing that with me, you never know since children don't come with instructions and I just make it up as I go along hoping and praying that its right. GOD will only put on us what we can handle and this ole girl has been through some doozies lol! And kids will NEVER tell you good job mom & dad, well of course only when they become parents. Nice to know our efforts do work!

I will come through from time to time to drop a line or two so keep looking for those amazing BIG PINK HEARTS!!! Muah
