Brandon Davies???

We're down to two days remaining for which the honor code office will be open at BYU before Monday's first day of semester classes and we have no verdict on Brandon Davies.



Not wanting to be a half-empty guy, but that says to me one of two things:

1) BYU is waiting to the last minute to deliver the bad news as people will be all over a "no" verdict

2) Someone in the compliance office hasn't got a clue for not having disclosed a positive decision sooner.



At BYU Education Week, last week, TH stated that he was part of those that will decide Brandon's fate. He tipped his hat on nothing, but if I were playing poker with him I'd have said his face told me he had nothing in his hand. He said the announcement would be forthcoming because....the semester was starting. I'm not expecting good news with them waiting until the last minute. I sure hope I'm wrong.

It is not fair to the student to wait to the last minute and then say you can't attend. If it is no, he should have been told weeks ago so that he can get into another school.

We are in BIG BIG trouble without Davies in the middle (pun intended).



With no bigs we have no chance in the ncaa tourney.

Exactly, and that might be the positive side of our lack of news that he knows and is proceeding ahead, but has been sworn to secrecty until the announcement hasn't been made. I'm just trying to figure out why this is being drawn out to that last possible moment for the release of the information. We've never been told what the specifics were for his reentry. I'm not saying we should, but it surprises me that a decision could not be made by the end of today one way or the other.

Non-story until Monday. Either he is enrolled or he isn't. There was never going to be any formal public announcement. I'm sure someone on Monday will have a quote from Tom Holmoe saying whether Brandon is attending classes or not.

With everything that seems to always be aired out in the public, especially this national news item, I just find it unusual that everyone will have kept it completely quiet until Monday one way or the other.

Looks to me like there is lots of things going on the background and for privacy and BYU image reasons they're trying to keep this as quiet as publicly possible.



Looks like Davies is also following the course set for him and I'd be shocked at this point if he was NOT part of the team this fall based on everything I've read.

Brigham Young University today announced that Brandon Davies has been readmitted to the university and has enrolled for classes for fall semester 2011. With his readmission to the university, Davies has been reinstated on the BYU men's basketball team.

Sometimes I LOVE to be wrong. I still believe it was foolish to not make the descion until as late as they did, but that's water under the bridge. Welcome back Brandon Davies.
