Max Hall waived

Just saw on ESPN that the Cardinals have waived Max Hall. What do you think? Will he be picked up by someone else? Are his playing days over?

tough luck for him, especially since he's out 6 - 8 weeks with a shoulder injury. Good luck to him.

I have to say that I don't believe that another team will take a chance on Hall. Too turnover prone, and I still don't think he does the best under pressure. He also doesn't have to body type to withstand an NFL beating. So far in the NFL he has spent a great portion of his time injured. I think his playing days are over.

Ya never know about the turnovers, Beck had the same problem and so did Steve Young their first couple of years. Pro Quarterbacks sometimes take time to mature and adjust and sometimes it's just a function of what the team puts in front of you to block. The shoulder is more problematic, two years, two shoulder injuries. Sadly I think he's done, I don't see anyone else taking a chance on him. He's a sharp kid though and I'm sure he'll land on his feet somewhere!

I'll be bold and go out on a limb and predict Max is not offered a coaching spot by Whittingham....

Any chance Max gets a job in Canada or the Arena League?

There are SO many teams in the league with QB troubles right now. I'd be surprised if he doesn't at least get into the preseason with another team next year.

He probably lands in the CFL or AFL next season. At best he'll get signed to a practice squad next offseason, but even that is a tough sell as he will then be two year out of school and those jobs are generally reserved for project QBs, and teams tend to draft their own projects instead of picking up someone else's QB off of waivers or in free agency.



The cut was probably coming anyway, but the injury makes it even less likely he lands someone this season, and he really needs a roster spot now.

It's a long shot - for Max to get picked up. Max was in a good spot this last year with the Cardinals - they gave him a legitimate shot - they really liked him. It didn't work out. I think some team somewhere will take a look at him - actually getting picked up? Hmmm ....
