Good, concise roundup of fall camp. I have one question for you (or anyone):



on a scale of 1 to 10, how much does Cody Hoffman's fall camp concern you? You don't seem very worried in your blog, but are the reasons you list for his lack of stats hopeful optimism or things you truly believe?

i'd still say that the biggest surprise of camp was not Hague, but the Ziggy beast. We knew he had the speed, height and weight, but registering a sack on 8 consecutive days of camp (at least!) bodes well if he can figure out pass coverage a bit better.

The reasons are more hopeful optimism than based off of anything concrete.



No one else is making a big deal about it, so there probably isn't anything funny going on. The pass game hasn't skipped a beat. Hoffman isn't really the "hot" story this year. Ross Apo being the newcomer and McKay Jacobson trying to rebound is what everyone seems to be focused on with the receivers.



We saw last year what Cody is capable of and until something different happens in a real game, then my concern will stay very low.

One just needs to go to BYUTV.org and watch the BYU/UTEP bowl game from last season to know that Hoffman is a stud WR and will be fine this year.

I'd only get worried if Heaps gets too fixated on Apo and Mckay. A D can double Apo or Hoffman but they can't dbl both.

Additionally, how often have the 1's really run consistently for several series? It will be a war of D's picking their pain and losing the war of attrition.

I'd love to see them double both. JJ or Juice would be able to do just about anything they wanted.
