Juice talks about improved team unity

Article in today's DesNews by Jeff Call discusses Juice's impact, character and he improvement from last year's team to this year.



"There's a big difference, Quezada said, between last year's team and this year's team."



"We're a lot closer now that we were before. We're all on the same page," he said. "Last year we were expecting to carry on the tradition but at the same time, we didn't build that trust from each other. I definitely think that trust is a lot better now than it was before."



This comment might also help explain why we started out so lousy during the first half of 2010 before Bronco took over the D and made changes that he felt were necessary to improve team morale.

Good confirmation of something we all sensed last year. Something was wrong with the Coaching staff - it was a tough year. Fortunately Bronco made timely & very effective changes.



An organization goes rotten just like a fish - it rots @ the head first.

I think we all need to acknowledge that part of the issues last year was youth as well. We played many freshman last year, and that unity and trust and carrying the tradition usually comes from upper-class guys who perform. We lacked that last year in key spots, so many guys had some on the job training. Which brings us to this year. We are more prepared to win--for many reasons. Experienced talent being a big reason.
