Our very own SpiffCoug speculates on the upcoming season.

This slate of games is actually going to be great for BYU’s depth. Young and inexperienced players working hard to break into the two-deep, should find ample time on the field to show the coaches what they can do when the “lights are on.” The starters and other significant contributors might find themselves with a ball cap and clipboard on the sidelines during many of these second halves. Fans should expect the Cougars to win these games by wide margins, with most of them essentially over by halftime.



How far BYU can rise in the polls and how strong of a team they are considered to be will be determined by their results and performance in the “season” games. Those games are: at Mississippi, at Texas, vs. Utah, vs. Central Florida, vs. TCU in Dallas, at Oregon State and at Hawaii.
