TE Battle

Looks like Holt is pulling ahead. Nice to see someone stepping up. With all the hype that Holt had coming out of high school hopefully he's ready to live up to it. He's got tons of potential so hopefully Reynolds can develop it

I've always had my eye on Holt ever since we picked him up. I was always surprised to hear Mahina's and Wilson's name in front of his last year.



I think I heard on the radio that he has some kind of painful hand injury that limits extension and he just plays through it.

Holt is a big physical guy, but also the slowest of the TE group. He looked really slow last year, but maybe extra time has helped him gain some more speed/quickness. Holt has heart and is a great blocker, just needs to be able to make plays vs. safety/LBs. Seems as if WIlson is the fastest. Mahina has been absent most of camp reports I have read, which surprises me.

I didn't notice Mahina make any catches this morning.

That would suck to have his ability to catch passes be limited due to a possible hand injury

Last year he had very heavy feet. has that changed? I have not seen him. His height and size served him well in HS. IF his footspeed hasnt increased, have to agree with Mars, fatten the boy and put him on the line. Whens the last time we had a slow TE be very successful?

Spencer nead wasn't exactly fast but was effective. From what saw from holt, he's definitely not as fleet of foot as Wilson, but he's much quicker off The line than he was last year. But compared to mahina and the others that I saw yesterday, he doesn't appear to be slower than anyone else save Wilson.
