Heaps was 5 of 6 for 98 yards and the TD pass to Di Luigi. Di Luigi two catches for 41 yards. Also had 1 rushing TD on a Heaps series.

Nelson was 1 of 3 for 26 yards. Sacked by Ansah. Pass was to Hafoka. Both incompletions came when defenders (P. Hadley, Hague) knocked the ball loose on hits as the ball arrived. The Hadley hit was on Jorgensen o, who left practice injured with a separated shoulder.

Dulan had a sack--not sure on who.

Waiting on Lark or Munns stats. Apo sat out of team sessions. Leg soreness. Quezada participated today as well.

Wilson out with sprained ankle. Friel out with hamstring. Matthews with a shoulder. TE position was thin, but no real stats of note, either. A theme the first 4 days.

Sounds as if depth chart is settling itself out in the LB positions. Van Noy sounds as if he is playing too good to sit. Hadley is #2 behind Tree, per Bronco, Jorgensen 3rd. Wagner still not hit field yet as waiting on NCAA clearances. Frazier still injured, but closer to ready. JP healthiest has been since OU game. Kaveinga playing physical. Sounds as if corners are playing solid, not sure of safeties.

Sounds like the offense is efficient, but the D is making plays, but giving up plays too.

I'm loving the stats, but the funny thing with fall practice is you never know if the success you see is from an outstanding effort or if the offense/defense just isn't up to par yet.

This. The first team D is usually always going to give solid D (if you are returning most guys) but all the other D's are a crapshoot because they are plugging guys in all over the place.

Hard to know how good a player is doing until you know who he is with, and who he is going against.

Let's hold off on the "The" for now. Let's see if he can actually do this in a game. Even The Jimmer didn't become The Jimmer until the middle of his senior season.

The Jimmer also isn't 6'6" 270 with a 4.5 40. ;)

True. The Jimmer doesn't wow you with his measurables. He wows you with his game and on court performance.

Now if Ansah records a sack each game (like he has so far through camp) when the lights are on and the games really matter, then we can give him the definite article.
