Not Looking good for Max Hall

"It's tough to envision Hall returning as part of the 53-man roster. John Skelton is clearly ahead of Hall as the No. 2 option behind Kolb. Richard Bartel looks like a better prospect, too. Hall's presence in the lineup for three starts last season sent defenses into feeding frenzies. They couldn't wait to come after him. Fewer teams are likely to keep three quarterbacks on their 53-man rosters, anyway, after the NFL modified rules for game-day rosters."

Too many turnovers has doomed Max. He still could get a shot elsewhere, but his propensity to turn it over when pressured definitely hurts him.

Max always had a tendency to get an INT when under pressure......

True dat - he forces into tight traffic. It cost him @ BYU & cost him his starting job with the Cardinals. He'll probably get a shot w/ another team. Looks like the Cardinals are moving in another direction.

If he gets cut from Arizona, the best he is going to do is a practice roster somewhere else. If he is in fact cut, I think he is out of the league in 2 years at best.

Max got the last drive in the Cardinals' preseason game against the Raiders tonight, and led them on the game-winning drive. He was 4-4 for 66 yards, including a TD pass. He also had a nifty spin move to get out of a sack and pick up a couple of yards on the ground.



I only saw the very end of the game, so I didn't see if/how any of the undrafted free agents played, but hopefully Max's performance works in the favor of his future with the team.

Yep. The last series Max came in. The Cardinals 17, Raiders 18. Max threw a TD with :39 seconds reamining. Cardinals 24, Raiders 18. Way to go Max!!

Skelton was 6/10 for 94 yards and 1 td

Bartel was 4/9 for 69 yards and 1 td

Kolb was 4/7 for 68 yards

Hall was 4/4 for 66 yards and 1 td



It seems like Max may still be battling for that third QB spot, but Kolb and Skelton are clearly Arizona's number one and two right now.
