Update on Cougar Recruiting Efforts

Heard that Howell is hot on the trail of a couple of recruits in FL and that Dupaix is making in roads in TX. Any inside information as to who these kids are? I sure hope the remainder of the core we are trying to land (Hinds, Fanaika, O'Neal, et.al.) Get on board soon).

Notice how in FL we are spreading the net in the same areas we landed Phillip Amone and John Wofford. I especially like the younger brother of John as he is legit as a QB. Would be nice to land the TX recruits after a good showing against UT and TCU.

Brandon Fanaika was at the 1st day of camp as an observer. Is this a sign that he is more serious about committing to the Y?

I wouldn't be surprised if he talked with the coaches yesterday. We may hear more about it after practice tomorrow.

Apparently Brandon Fanaika followed up his visit at Saturday's practice with another visit to the Y today (Monday August 8, 2011). Does this mean he will be the next big catch after the Hinds haul this morning?

He met with three coaches, dupaix, weber, and someone else.

Any big news on the outcome of the discussion with the 3 coaches?

Interesting article on how commit Brayden Kearsley, a good friend of Fanaika, is working on trying to get him to a accept the Y schollie. He recognizes Brandon's talent and wants the best to play at BYU. Like the kid's approach - just like Heaps and Apo.
