UT vs Y - who will benefit more from the change

Interesting article by Brent Ross on Bleacher Report (7/29/11).

He favors:

BYU - recruiting strength, national TV exposure, national influence, fan base,

Utah - athletic facilities,

How do the current facilities compare? I guess I had always thought Utah, with such a limited athletic program, was inferior with regard to facilities. Don't they have to wait a few years to really see the big money (20mil) of the pac 12. I liked the remarks about a loyal fan base. Who has better boosters? Don't basketball revenues factor in there somewhere?

In both scenarios, each team needs to win enough to remain relevant. BYU has more schedule flexibility to get wins, so if Utah struggles in the PAC, they are in trouble. I suspect Utah will be like Oregon State and ASU. Middling, with a great team every 7-10 years.

Has this guy seen their facilities and ours? Or is he saying their facilities will improve the most? It has to be the latter since we already have a lot nicer facilities all around . . . Except for the gymnastics equipment, they may have a slight edge.
