Ever wonder why the term "Zoobies" was invented?

The tone of the letter is so anal that I wouldn't be surprised if it IS a satire.



YOu just don't hear many people on campus saying phrases like "Lord's University" or arguing that Coke is somehow written in the doctrine and covenants like that. I know there ARE people who think like this, but...I think it's a farce

No Schmoe, "Friday" isn't a farce, it's just plain sad and what's even sadder is I catch myself singing the song every once in a while.

She's also like 12 years old. That's the kind of song I'd expect from a 12 y/o.



If it wasn't a Rebecca Black that had written that letter, but an actual college student, I would like to punish her with a semester at the :utard: , or just about any school in the country so that their education can be expanded beyond said bubble. They need it. bad.

When I first read that letter that letter, I thought there was no way it was for real. I've been at BYU for a long time now and your average student here doesn't talk or think like that...then I remember Michelle Peralta and that there really are modern day Pharisees who talk and think like this. It's sad really.



p.s. I have always wondered where the word zoobie comes from

I believe that Zooby(ies) is referring to the mormons that grew up in Utah county, and then went to BYU. So they never left the "zoo" or entered the real world, as it were.

Yeah, well I wouldn't think that "Friday," Michelle Peralta, or "Wynn just like Detmer" were serious either. The problem I find with this is that if it's not serious, it really isn't clever or funny or unique (maybe italics wrote it?). If it's supposed to be witty, it missed the mark.
