I drove by LES last night to see how the progress on the stadium was coming along.

Is Kabletown really a still a BYU sponsor?

How long till we see an expansion? You got to think that once scheduling gets going we will have some sweet home games against some sexy teams. And with the ESPN dough rolling in, we should add some seats or at least add a jumbo-tron

What's with the blue column? Are they going to paint all of them?

They are starting stadium upgrades now. The major ones will come after this year. For now, they are painting both columns blue and putting the BYU oval at the top of each column with white paint. I think they are also doing some internal upgrades to the press box to modernize it for new tech options.



It sounds as if the MC is also due for some upgrades as well. I think both facilities will get a minor facelift, perhaps with some new HD scoreboards.

Driving by yesterday, I noticed that most of the seats on the West side are now dark blue instead of gray...looks really good. I don't remember that many from last year but I could be totally wrong...

Blue chairs is a rumor, but not heard anything on that yet. I suspect that some of this TV $$$ for 2010 will go into facilities upgrades. As is usual with BYU, it needs to be paid for first. Rumor is, donors have already stepped to cover costs, and final architecture plans are about settled.
