Hard to vote against Johnson. I think he was the only BYU punter to ever average 50yards a punt over a season.

Matt Payne I thought had the most points on the team in 2001 because of so many xps following TDs. and yes, punting distance is one measure, but Payne was an expert at dropping the ball where it needed to go and then having it either stay there or go out of bounds. I think he had an insane number of punts stay inside the 20.



Oh. And the boy could hit. I couldn't find any videos of Johnson laying the wood on someone.



AND HIS NAME IS PAYNE!!!! What a great name for a football player. Hunter comes in second.
