Jackson Emery visit

I got the chance to visit with Jackson Emery tonight for about 30 minutes. Let me start off by saying this is one of the nicest guys I've ever sat down and talked with.



He's doing well and excited about his future which he says will be over seas. I asked where he was going to play and he said he's had over a dozen teams calling his agent, so he just has to choose where he wants to go and work it out with the team. I know he specifically mentioned Turkey as a possibility and I joked that he might be playing with Deron Williams (funny side note - my phone auto corrected Deron to demon at first), he thought he might have Dwight Howard as a teammates. :D



He also mentioned the wife is pregnant and I shores up the little guy to a commitment for the 2030 season.



Overall he was a fun and nice guy, taking time out of his busy schedule to talk to us. Big thanks to his dad and his company, Diamond Auto Glass for having us. Pictures tomorrow.

Are you sure Jackson didn't steal it?

Wait...so this means Jackson and I are friends? Yeaahh!

Well apparently Jackson changed his mind about playing over seas as Greg Wrubell is meeting that he is hanging up his basketball shoes for good. This is pretty surprising to me since we had just talked about playing on Thursday. But his wife is pregnant and going overseas right now could be pretty tough.

I wonder if Jimmer would have been able to do what he did without all the things Jackson did. I certainly don't think the team would have been able to accomplish what they did without him. I think he was to Jimmer what what's her name's husband was to Danny Ainge. He had a great career.

Jackson essentially guarded two people each game: his and Jimmer's. No, Jimmer wouldn't have been able to do what he did without Emery.



Sad to hear Emery won't be playing overseas. NBA starters going overseas to play ball with the lockout going on probably didn't help matters. Had it been any other year, Emery probably would have found a gig no problem.
