Someone at TBS says the return is to the ESA in Salt Lake. I don't like that. So we're never going to get any major program non-conference opponent to Provo again? That's very disappointing, but the truth is I wouldn't turn down the game because of it, but I am surprised we'd agree to do their game on their campus.

Well, we should have our full team at that time. Jan 25 is after the date that Carlino will be available to play.

I assume ESPN will pick up the game. We need to smoke them for the insult.

Ridiculous that we agree to this crap at this point. If a team's not man enough to come play us at home, then we shouldn't play them.

They should be getting ESPN access to play us. If they won't play in out house find someone else unless it is Duke and maybe a couple other teams.

Rumorboard is reporting that the ESA location is at BYU's request since the dates we want to play, the MC is already scheduled for something else.



This was our way of getting around a scheduling issue. I can't confirm whether it's true, but I hope it is.

Virginia Tech's head coach tweeted that BYU requested it be played in SLC. On a positive note, it's better for rpi purposes.

Must mean the return game is in December around the time that the BYU choirs take over the Marriott Center for about a month. BYU played two games at the ESA this last year during that time, and they were the only games in the state of Utah for BYU for almost a month.

TH said he wasn't a game each season in EAS. When we played U of San Francisco there, it was our doing, so this doesn't seem as obsure as one might think.

It's the dancers that take over the Marriott Center.

I say if we can't count dancers' scholarships toward the balance required by Title IX then they shouldn't be able to use the Marriott Center.
