Informal FB Team Workouts

Last year we were hearng all about informal team practices in the off-season, who the leaders were and were not and everyones opinion about who was and was not working hard.



Absolute silence this year.



Are they practicing quietly or just not practicing. I realize there is no QB controversy re starter, but back-up QB has a little controversy for some and RB has 3 strong contenders plus some new guys. WR should be ripe for someone to take over. Tight End - wide open. What is hapening this offseason?

Looks like Jake's lack of work ethic has spread to the whole team. ;-)

It is going down, but with less drama. I also think the fact that BYU put the clamps down on player Twitter accounts has led to less info on day to day. I hear that the workouts are happening, with great player involvement, and that the energy from Spring ball has carried over. The team has a great sense of purpose this year. I am glad things are more quiet though. Mouths shut, noises down, and working hard.

Last year the amount of news coming out of Summer workouts was an aberration. The media had the hot Heaps/Nelson story to cover in the slow Summer months and reported every little nuance.



This year is a normal year (no real drama to attract the media), and the beat writers have all been busy covering Jimmermania and the draft as well as Independence, so there has been even less written about workouts than in a normal boring year.



In this case, I think no news is good news, because any news out of informal summer workouts attention-grabbing enough to pull eyeballs away from Jimmer or the MWC/Indy stories would probably not be Jake Heaps going 13-14 on the day in 11-on-11, but more like 'Matt Reynolds Out For Season' news.

Dude, Jake can't get a week off for his Honeymoon?
