CougarClawI want to be happy for them, I really do. There's just too much hate on both sides of the aisle that makes any happiness they feel come at my expense as a religious person. The more they win, the more I'm a bigot for opposing their "rights".
I do feel this is one of the signs of the times and I think both sides feel there is an eventuality and a purposeful march down the path on this issue. I truly believe that it's just a matter of time before it's legalized virtually everywhere except the bible belt, Utah and Idaho which states will only be further marginalized and demonized for their religious beliefs as bastions of bigotry.
It will also make life harder as a Mormon.
FYI: bigoted: obstinately convinced of the superiority or correctness of one's own opinions and prejudiced against those who hold different opinions.
incidentally, doesn't the simple act of accusing someone of bigotry imply that you yourself also qualify? Either way, I'm sad for NY today.
