Contest: Guess the team and pick Jimmer gets drafted

We're having a CougarCorner contest. Simply guess the team and pick that Jimmer gets drafted. All those who get it right will get some sort of special CougarCorner notoriety and maybe invited to participate in an upcoming Podcast.



Guesses must be in Thursday 10 minutes prior to the draft (I believe that's 4:50pm Mountain time). Guesses must be posted to this CougarCorner topic, no other topic entries, tweets, or facebook responses will qualify.

I agree with both ... Sacramento at #7 and it makes me incredibly sad. I am not a fan of the Kings and I don't know if I can convince myself to become a fan if Jimmer goes there. I guess I will just be a fan of Jimmer, not his team!

Okay, the Suns. That would be cool with Nash... and kinda unfortunate with Nash.

I'm expecting the Suns to trade Nash in the next 18 months. He's a relic (to them) from the D'Antoni era of fun-and-gun-defense-be damned and they are now trying to build a defense-first program. Nash isn't getting any younger or quicker, and there are other teams out there that would value Nash a lot more than the Suns do. Once they get over the fan affection and look to the future, I think he's gone. Maybe Cuban will take him in a fit of nostalgia.



That said, I think those are the same reasons why Jimmer won't go to the Suns. He's an offense-first guy, and his defense at the next level is purely hypothetical.

Knicks at 8

I like the Knicks trading up to #10/11 to get Jimmer, assuming the Kings don't take him at #7, or orchestrate a trade.

Jazz #12. I think the Jazz take Kanter at #3. After working out Kemba, Brandon Knight and Jimmer, I don't think they saw much difference between them. So they figured they could go big with Kanter and get an equal guard at 12 without having to take Knight at 3.

Suns at #7. Take that!

I think the Maloof brothers are in love with Jimmer so I see them taking him at 7, if they pass on him I see him dropping to the Jazz at 12. I like the picks of Kanter and Jimmer for the Jazz.

Jazz #12. They need the ticket sales in what may be a rebuilding year
