I know this is a YardBarker article. But our boy Uona Kaveinga made the 10th slot.

Anyone that played at the NFL pipeline known as USC can play football. And Kavienga was a top 100 recruit in the Class of 2008 according to Rivals.com. But stuck on special teams and as a back-up, Kavienga decided to transfer and leave his home in Southern California.

Is this just transfers from D-1 schools or do JC transfers count as well?

From what we are hearing Hebron Fangupo seems like he will have a huge impact as well. I'm stoked to watch the front 7 own opposing offenses this year.

In a 3-4, if you have a dominant NT, you control the line. BYU will have 2 of them this year, potentially 3. Fangupo will be awesome, if Fuga gets back healthy he will be awesome, and Tuiloma could prove to be the best yet in time. Both those USC transfers, if healthy, will be huge impact guys for us.

Not only that, but if you have an NT who commands a double team, now a guard has to come over and help. This forces the tackle to cover down on the DE freeing up the OLB who can use his speed to come off the edge. If the guard doesn't come over then a RB/FB must stay home to help protect as well. Having a dominant NT in the 3-4 will make every defensive position better.

Two different people with connections to Fuga sas he will be good to go in the Fall. I heard that from one friend about 2 months ago and heard it again from a family member who knows him - last week.

Too bad we don't play Nevada again - I would like Fuga to provide a rebuttal to the cheap shot artist.

Fuga seems to have a pretty good attitude about the guy. He told my family member when asked if he wished he could get even that he wasn't revengeful about it and that he probably would have done the same thing in the same circumstances. When asked "Really?" then he said well he didn't really know. Anyway - his original comment was probably not meant to say he would play dirty but just trying to show forgiveness for what happened and dismiss it as just being part of the game of football.

PS I would love to play Nevada each of the next 3 years and beyond. Football is meant to be regional imho and they are one of the better regional opponents.

I don't care to ever play Nevada again. Throw in their dirty play on the field and then their dirty play off the field. Don't forget they were instrumental in sabotaging our leaving the MWC and going to the WAC in the non-football sports.

Love Fuga's attitude, response - sign of a humble leader and great example. He is a great example to the team in word and deed.
