2012 Kolton Donovan LS

Kolton Donovan (6-3/250), the long snapper at Pine View, has given a verbal commitment to play for BYU.



Quote from his coach Ray Hosner: “He’s really focused on long-snapping, and it’s a very underrated part of any football team. He’ll be a great one for sure. He’s really worked hard on that part of his game.”

I thought LS were walkons and only the starter got the scholarship. Does he also play the O line?

Donovan is currently the No. 2-ranked deep snapper in the country. He recently won the Western National Underclassman Challenge in Los Angeles.

Donovan also had an offer from Southern Utah and an academic scholarship offer from Cornell. He participated in BYU's Junior Day two weeks ago and received a scholarship offer shortly after that.
