has anyone else made a paper ring chain with enough rings to take off one ring each day until independence? On each ring I listed a blessing associated with leaving the MWC!!!

NOt to rain on the ticker-timer parade--it is kind of cool, but isnt it a bit moot at this point? The only sport that is Independent is Football--and that has already been born. All other sports are going to the WCC.

So, If you are counting down to "Independence from the MWC" and that is only a matter of days, we really arent counting down to Independence we are counting down to Independence from the last vestiges of MWC affiliation. Who cares!!

Its like the divorcing wife who cant identify as a "single person", but identifies as a "divorced person". Lets move on people! We are already independent, not "soon to be independent" from the MWC.

I for one am excited for the bold act of choosing to go independent. And yes, Football is important enough in sports to say that BYU is going Independent in general.
