Jared Afalava - Recruiting Violation?

Did they just publish that Ricky Heimuli is actively recruiting Jared Afalava? Isn't it a recruiting violation for players to recruit? If not, I hope Heaps is still working the phones...



I thought the rule about enrolled students recruiting was so tight that ZacK Collie mentioned he couldn't even talk to Austin about coming to BYU.

Family is okay, I believe. I think if there's a kid who was in your ward all growing up, you'd be okay too if you had a long-standing relationship.

Afalava is not going to BYU. Would be a shocker. I think he goes out of state, and I suspect it will be Oregon. HE lists them as his top choice right now.

I wouldn't count out utah. him and langi are tight.

I am sure Oregon is dirty, but if this is a recruiting violation than the NCAA is more ridiculous than i thought.

From the article - it looks like Oregon or Utah. Hate to see a really great player get away! I guess we can keep hoping for a miracle. Not likely though.

He was never ours to lose. Not all LDS kids want BYU. He is Utah's to lose.

With fewer and fewer LDS ties within and around the utah program, I wonder if we'll see an increase in pac-10/big-10/sec like NCAA infractions...not to not judge.
