Romney Fuga Medical Redshirt

I saw a title to a chat or a thread over at TBS about Fuga getting a medical redshirt. I don't have access to the article or anything... Can anyone confirm that he did get his medical redshirt?

in the football prospectus released last week it was noted that Fuga indeed rec'd a medical redshirt so he has two more years of eligibility left.

It is nice that he is getting a year of eligibility back, the loser that cheap shot him should be losing a year of eligibility......and paying Romney's medical bills.

Yeah but will he be ready this year??

On the depth chart part of the prospectus, they have him listed as a senior. So maybe the ruling came towards the end of putting the prosepectus together. I think the NCAA probably granted it provided that BYU doesn't allow him to use his available redshirt year on top of the medical hardship year.



BYU was very lucky this last year with the NCAA regarding rulings. They got a medical hardship for Apo and one for Fuga, even though Fuga played in the first 4 games last year. Not a normal year in rulings for BYU. Maybe they felt generous because they screwed up the Kaveinga ruling.

The loser that did this I believe was a senior last year. The sad thing is, Fuga is actually talented enough to play at the next level, and this injury could cost him millions of dollars over his life time.
